A teen cyclist is fighting for life after a collision with a car north of Brisbane.

A teen cyclist is fighting for life after a collision with a car north of Brisbane.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Mt Mee Rd and Ocean View Rd in Ocean View just after 11am on Thursday.

The male cyclist in his late teens was struck by a car.

“Chest and abdominal injuries, and was transported with life-threatening injuries to the Royal Brisbane Hospital,” a QAS spokeswoman said.

She said the cyclist was the only patient assessed at the scene.

Police investigations are continuing.
