Springwood crash: Cyclist rushed to hospital in critical condition, road closed after collision with car

A man has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a crash between a cyclist and a car south of Brisbane.

Paramedics are assessing a man in his 40s with significant chest, leg and arm injuries

after the crash on the Pacific Motorway Service Road at Springwood about 12.45pm.

The road which runs parallel to the Motorway between Shortland Street and Jamberco Street at Springwood is closed.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and expect delays.
