Shocked patrons at a popular Brisbane pub have rushed to help a teen who stumbled into the venue with stab wounds.

Patrons at the Royal Exchange Hotel have helped a teenager who was stabbed.

Shocked patrons at a popular Brisbane pub have rushed to help a teen who stumbled into the venue with stab wounds.

Police were called to a disturbance involving a 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man at a Brisbane St, Toowong, unit at 7.20pm on Thursday

The teenager sustained a stab wound to the back, before both he and his alleged assailant - who are known to each other - left the scene.

The stabbed teen went to the nearby Royal Exchange Hotel where patrons quickly called emergency services.

Both men have been taken to hospital.
