A five-year-old girl has tragically died following a horror crash on a rural road south of Toowoomba on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Luck Rd and Newman Rd at Vale View about 11.40am.
The crash involved a blue Ford Ranger and gold Subaru, which were left as wrecks following the collision.
The young girl, who was in the Subaru, was rushed to the Toowoomba Hospital in a critical condition but sadly died from her injuries.
A 64-year-old local woman and another girl were also taken to the same hospital in stable conditions, with the woman suffering leg injuries and being reportedly trapped.
The driver of the Ranger, a 19-year-old from Spring Mountain, was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
His two passengers were not injured.
The road remained closed off for several hours by police while tow trucks helped clean up the scene.
Four Queensland Fire Department crews were called to the scene to assist.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause, with anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident asked to come forward.
