Passenger killed after motorbike slams into 4WD

A pillion passenger on an unregistered motorbike has been killed and the driver critically injured in a late-night crash into a stationary car north of Brisbane.

A pillion passenger has been killed after the motorbike he was riding on slammed into a car in Morayfield overnight.

The driver of the motorbike was critically injured in the crash.

The duo were travelling east on Caboolture River Rd, Morayfield, about 9.10pm on Friday when they hit a stationary 4WD that was sitting on Kenneth St, waiting to turn into Caboolture River Rd.

The passenger, a 32-year-old Caboolture South man, died at the scene, while the 30-year-old driver, also of Caboolture South, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

The motorbike they were riding was unregistered.

Police are now urging anyone who saw the motorbike prior to the crash and who may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
