Multi-vehicle crash at Rochedale shuts northbound lanes of Gateway Mwy

Northbound lanes of the Gateway Motorway have been shut down after a multi-vehicle crash, with motorists still facing delays hours after the crash.

Traffic remains congested on the Gateway Motorway in Brisbane’s east after an earlier multivehicle crash involving a number of trucks.

A number of northbound lanes were closed for hours as a result of the incident, which occurred at Rochedale about 8.45am.

Queensland Police say initial information indicates two trucks were involved in the crash.

Paramedics assessed four people from three different vehicles. Two suffered chest and neck injuries and three people were taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area, with delays of more than 90 minutes in the immediate aftermath of the crash
