A man has been killed and a woman rushed to hospital after a crash at Wonglepong in the Scenic Rim overnight.
Around 11.30pm on Saturday, a 31-year-old male driver lost control of his Mitsubishi FTO and crashed into a tree on Mundoolun Connection Rd north of Bambling Rd.
Witnesses to the crash attempted to help the man but he died at the scene.
A 28-year-old Tamborine woman, who was a passenger in the coupe, was flown to hospital with serious injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and have urged anyone with dashcam footage to come forward to police.
