Motorcyclist killed in collision with kangaroo in outback Queensland
A 48-year-old motorcyclist has been killed after colliding with a kangaroo on a dark and remote outback road west of Roma.

A 48-year-old man has died after a kangaroo struck his motorcycle overnight on a remote outback road in the Maranoa region.
Investigations indicate that just after 7.30pm, the motorcyclist was riding an off-road motorcycle north along Middle Rd at Womalilla, south of Mitchell, before he collided with the kangaroo.
The man was thrown from his vehicle where he sustained critical injuries and died on the scene. The kangaroo was also found dead.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the collision and will prepare a report for the coroner.
