Motorcycle rider dies on Bruce Highway near Rockhampton
A young motorcycle rider has died, despite desperate efforts to save him, after he fell from his bike on the Bruce Highway.

A motorcyclist, killed in a crash near Rockhampton, has been identified as a 25-year-old man from Depot Hill.
The rider died, despite desperate efforts to save him, after he fell from his bike on the Bruce Highway about 10.30pm Monday.
The crash happened, near the roundabout at the recently upgraded Yeppen Crossing, 1km south of the city.
The rider suffered critical injuries after falling.
Attempts to save him were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.
All southbound lanes of the highway were closed for a number of hours while emergency services cleared the scene, and the road was reopened by Tuesday morning.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing to investigate the tragedy.
