The search is continuing for a young Brisbane man who hasn’t been seen for almost a week.

Kyle Morris, 20, is believed to have parked his motorcycle in Karri Place at Bridgeman Downs about 2.15am on Monday before walking off.

Police believe he may have been on the phone to someone as he walked away from the bike towards Beckett Rd.

He hasn’t been heard from since.

Officers have commenced a large-scale ground search of the area, which includes some bushland, with the assistance of 25 SES personnel.

Police confirmed on Sunday that the search was continuing.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said a member of the public reportedly heard Mr Morris on the phone before he went missing in the early hours of Monday morning.

Kyle’s parents issued a desperate plea for their son to come home.

“Just please come home baby boy, we really want you home safely,” his mother Natasha Morris told media.

“We are hoping he is just safe and hauled out somewhere hiding out, maybe he’s scared to come home. He doesn’t need to worry, we’re not upset with him, we just want him back safely.”

“We just want you to let us know and come home, we’re missing you,” his grandfather Alex Grant said.

Concerns are held for his safety, as the behaviour is out of character and he has a medical condition.

Ms Morris shared her concerns about her son’s whereabouts on social media.

“Kyle was spotted on a property around 2.30/3am potentially under the influence. We are hoping he may be passed out somewhere but are very concerned for his safety,” she wrote on Thursday.

He is believed to have been wearing a white T-shirt and grey shorts, carrying a motorcycle helmet and believed to be barefoot.

He is described as 180cm tall, of proportionate build, with brown hair.

Residents in the area are asked to search their properties and to be on the lookout.

Anyone with information regarding Mr Morris’ whereabouts is asked to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
