Eight fire crews, police, and an ambulance have attended a fire that broke out at a construction site in Milton.

Emergency services, including eight fire crews, police and an ambulance have been called to a building fire that broke out on a construction site in Milton on Wednesday morning.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services got the call about 8.14am regarding the blaze on the fifth floor of a construction site on McDougall St and Walsh St in Milton.

A QFES spokesman said the fire was believed to have started after cardboard packaging caught fire on the fifth floor balcony.

QFES added that the fire was under control as of 8.52am with two fire crew still on the scene.

A QAS spokesperson said no patients have been reported at the scene.
