Commuters in Brisbane’s southwest are facing massive delays this afternoon after a crash between a motorcycle and a truck left one person fighting for their life.
The Queensland Police Service said westbound lanes were reduced on the Centenary Motorway, just before the Springfield exit, due to the crash.
Delays of more than an hour were expected but by 6pm traffic had cleared.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said the male motorcyclist suffered life-threatening pelvic and internal injuries and had been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
It comes after huge delays across Brisbane during the morning peak after emergency services attended as many as eight accidents across the city.
