A bus operator has revealed more details of a serious three-vehicle crash in the Noosa region, in which two men were rushed to a Sunshine Coast hospital after being rescued from their vehicles.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an initial investigation showed a Tesla heading south on Walter Hay Dr in Noosaville about 7.30pm on August 7 collided with a bus that was heading north and then the Tesla collided with a third car that was following the bus.
The Tesla driver, a 23-year-old man, was reportedly trapped in his vehicle for about 15 minutes.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said firefighters were called to the crash and freed the driver from the wreckage of his car and also rescued the bus driver.
The 23-year-old was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition with chest and abdominal injuries.
The bus driver, a 60-year-old man, was also taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
It is understood the bus driver was released from the hospital on the same night.

A Sunbus spokesman said the company was providing assistance to the bus driver and there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.
An 18-year-old man driving the third vehicle was uninjured.
Traffic was diverted following the crash, which was initially reported as happening in Doonan.
