Man rushed to hospital after truck, motorcycle collision on Gympie Road, Chermside

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an early morning crash on Brisbane’s northside.

A man in his 50s has been left in a potentially life-threatening condition after a multi-vehicle crash in Brisbane’s northside on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to Gympie Rd at Chermside just before 6am, after a truck and motorcycle collided.

The man riding the motorcycle was left with significant injuries following the collision, while the truck driver was not injured in the crash.

The motorcycle rider was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.

Commuters were advised to expect major delays on Gympie Road following the crash, with lanes reduced.

Drivers were expected to experience delays of up to 20 minutes heading southbound.
