A 66-year-old man has died after a single vehicle crash south of Cairns on Thursday afternoon.
Initial investigations reveal that the man was riding a moped on Gillies Range Rd when he lost control and crashed about 4pm.
Paramedics attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating.
