Horror day on Qld roads as five motorcyclists involved in serious crashes

A spate of serious motorbike crashes has left one motorcyclist fighting for life and four others seriously injured.

One motorcyclist is fighting for life while four others were in a serious condition following a horrendous day for crashes on Queensland roads on Sunday.

Paramedics including Critical Care crew were called to Demeio Road at Berrinba, Logan, at 3.23pm following a motorbike crash.

A man in his 20s suffered burns and leg injuries as a result. He was taken in a serious condition to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Earlier, paramedics were called to Morgan Park Road Circuit, Morgan Park, just before 2.30pm following a motorbike crash.

One patient, a man in his 60s, was taken to Warwick Hospital in a serious condition with a head injury.

A man in his 30s was flown to Bundaberg Hospital in a serious condition with chest injuries following a morning collision.

He sustained the injuries in a motorbike crash on Crowsdale Camboon Rd about 11.45am.

In a third crash, a motorcyclist in his 40s was left in a serious condition following a single motorcycle crash in Delaneys Creek.

Paramedics attended the scene on Mount Mee Road, Delaneys Creek, at 9.24am, from where the man was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital suffering from internal injuries.

All lanes were closed for several hours as emergency services cleared the motorcycle.

In a third morning crash, a man in his 20s was left fighting for life in a critical condition following a separate motorcycle crash on the Ipswich Motorway.

The crash occurred about 7.40am Sunday where the Warrego Hwy merges with the Ipswich Motorway at Riverview.

All eastbound lanes were blocked for a significant amount of time but have since been cleared.

The man was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with severe abdominal and chest injuries.

In another morning incident, QFES were called to Hatton Vale following a two-vehicle crash.

Four people were transported to Ipswich Hospital in stable conditions at 11.44am after a two-vehicle crash on the corner of Niemeyer Road and Warrego Highway eastbound.
