Police are investigating whether speed or alcohol was involved after three parked cars were hit, early on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called just after 5am following reports a white Mazda C30 had crashed into three cars on Creek Road near Tarrant Street at Mount Gravatt.
Residents close to the crash say it sounded like an explosion.
Noone was injured during the incident.
Nearby resident Dustin Martin told The Courier-Mail that he heard the noise, quickly changed clothes and ran down the street to see the carnage.
“Myself and the family all woke up to what sounded like an explosion,” he said.
“I jumped out of bed and looked out the window to a man running up the street.”
Investigations remain ongoing.
More to come.
