Group 1-winning jockey Jason Taylor has been rushed to hospital after his second run-in with a horse in six months.
Taylor suffered suspected chest injuries after he was apparently kicked by a horse in the stables near the Gold Coast Turf Club at Bundall early Monday morning.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken by ambulance to Gold Coast University Hospital.
It comes after he cheated death when a horse he was riding in a race at the Gold Coast in February reared up, flipped and crushed him before kicking him in the head.
The popular jockey, who won the 2011 Stradbroke Handicap, suffered nine broken ribs, a punctured lung and facial injuries in that accident.
“I feel like I have dodged a bullet … I’m glad to be alive,” he said after that incident.
