A man in his 70s is in a serious condition after he was bitten by a snake in Karalee on Sunday afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said the man was bitten on the ankle by the snake in his garden.
It is understood the man was transported to hospital after he became symptomatic.
The man was transported to Ipswich Hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.
