House engulfed by flames at Lake Samsonvale

A house has been engulfed in flames near Lake Samsonvale north of Brisbane, with at least eight fire crews responding, as well as paramedics and police.

A home north of Brisbane was engulfed in flames overnight, with crews battling the blaze until the early hours of Sunday morning.

The fire broke out at the property on the corner of Winn and Pinedale roads, Cashmere, near the southwestern banks of Lake Samsonvale, about 9.15pm.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman confirmed a two-storey home at the address was well alight, with at least eight crews working to contain the blaze by 9.45pm.

The spokeswoman confirmed all occupants had managed to make it to safety without injury.

By 2.48am, crews were able to extinguish the fire after getting it under control.

Paramedic crews remained on standby at the scene as fire crew continued their work well into the night.

Fire investigators are going to return to the property today.
