Five fire and rescue crews sent to rescue man stuck in stormwater drain

Five fire and rescue crews have rescued a man who became stuck in a stormwater drain south of Brisbane.

Queensland firefighters completed a technical rescue on Saturday afternoon to save a man who had been caught in a storm water drain.

Reports were made just past 3:30pm of a man stuck in a storm water drain on Golden Gate Avenue in Park Ridge.

Five fire and emergency crews, including three special rescue teams, were sent out to the scene and commenced the rescue about 4:20pm.

Within 30 minutes, rescue crews were able to enter the confined space and safely extract the man.

He was taken to hospital by Queensland Ambulance Services by 4:50pm.
