Fire guts home in Sippy Downs as crews battle to extinguish

A large Sunshine Coast home has been completely gutted after an inferno ripped through the property on Sunday night.

Several fire crews battled to extinguish a fire that engulfed a house on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called to a house fire on the intersection of Cape Lane and Albany St at Sippy Downs about 6.20pm.

Paramedics and Queensland Fire Department crews found the house well involved on arrival.

Five crews attended the scene with the fire put out about 7.20pm.

Paramedics were assessing the patients on the scene with no injuries reported.

Police are treating the fire as non-suspicious.
