E-scooter rider fighting for life after hit by truck north of Brisbane

Police are appealing for public assistance after an e-scooter rider was left fighting for life following a serious crash involving a truck north of Brisbane.

An e-scooter rider is fighting for life in hospital with police now appealing for public assistance following the serious crash north of Brisbane on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to reports an e-scooter rider had been hit by a Hino 300 truck at the intersection of Bertha and Mill streets in Caboolture about 7.20pm.

The male e-scooter rider was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with a life-threatening head injury.

The Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Bertha Street remained closed for several hours but has since reopened.
