Emergency crews work to free man after vehicle falls down Gold Coast hinterland cliff

A man was trapped in his car ten metres down an embankment in the Gold Coast hinterland on Saturday night.

Emergency crews worked to free a man trapped in his vehicle in the Gold Coast hinterland on Saturday night.

Paramedics rushed to Gold Coast Springbrook Road in Springbrook just after 8:05pm following reports a vehicle had veered off the side of the road.

Upon arrival, attendees confirmed the vehicle had fallen 10 metres down an embankment and one person was in the car.

While the condition of the man is yet to be confirmed, a Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said he was conscious and breathing.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services confirmed vertical access is required to rescue the man from the vehicle.
