Early morning truck crash causes traffic chaos on D’Aguilar highway

A major route north of Brisbane has reopened in both directions after an early morning truck crash spilled fuel and debris across the road.

The D’Aguilar Highway, northwest of Brisbane, has reopened in both directions after a truck crash spilled debris and fuel across the road near Woolmar causing major traffic delays early Thursday.

The truck driver, in his 40s, was taken to hospital and treated for leg injuries.

The highway was shut 8km west of Kilcoy after 4am while emergency service workers cleared the truck and debris from the road.

It reopened just before 8am.

A QPS spokesman said there had been major delays but traffic was flowing after the road reopened.

The highway is a two-lane route linking the Bruce Highway near Caboolture with the Bunya Highway in Kingaroy with major towns affected along the route including Woodford, Kilcoy, Blackbutt, Yarraman, and Nanango.
