A driver has miraculously escaped after his car fell into South East Queensland’s largest lake northwest of Brisbane on Saturday.
Emergency services rushed to Northbrook Creek of Lake Wivenhoe in the Somerset region, following reports of a sinking vehicle around 3.30pm.
Five fire crews, police and paramedics conducted a search operation near the submerged vehicle but were unable to locate any occupants in the vicinity of the waters.
The driver was shortly found unharmed on nearby land.
