Man surrenders after Donnybrook siege

A man has surrendered to police after a siege at Donnybrook, near Bribie Island.

A man has surrendered to police after a siege at Donnybrook, near Bribie Island, on Sunday morning.

Police had earlier declared an emergency under the Public Safety Preservation Act, setting up an exclusion zone around the house where the man was, taking in Ann Street, Maud Street, Fisherman Drive, Alice Street and Mary Street

Officers were initially called to the home about 5.25am, and specialist police negotiated with the man

The PSPA was revoked about 10.30am and no one was hurt in the incident.
