Two men were seriously injured on Thursday night after a quad bike collided with a pedestrian on the Bruce Highway north of Townsville.
The accident happened near the Rollingstone Hotel about 6.25pm, when a 41-year-old on a quad bike struck a 66-year-old pedestrian.
The quad bike driver was in a life-threatening condition after suffering from a medical event and was transported to Townsville University Hospital.
The 66-year-old was transported to Townsville University Hospital in a serious condition with abrasions and chest injuries.
The Bruce Highway has since reopened both ways.
