Sunnybank crash: Motorcyclist killed in serious two-vehicle incident

A motorcyclist has died at the scene of a crash with an SUV on Brisbane’s southside.

A motorcyclist has died at the scene of a crash with an SUV on Brisbane’s southside.

The two-car crash happened on Mains Rd, Sunnybank, just before 8pm on Tuesday, closing the southbound lanes.

Police say their investigations indicate the motorcycle was travelling south on Mains Road when it collided with a Mazda SUV turning right into Elva Street.

The rider, a 34-year-old Sunnybank man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, a 19-year-old Inala man, was not physically injured.

Witnesses or anyone with relevant vision is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
