Brisbane traffic: Man trapped after ‘high impact’ crash into tree

An 18-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle after hitting a tree at high speed northwest of Brisbane on Monday night.

An 18-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle after hitting a tree at high speed northwest of Brisbane on Monday night.

The accident happened at the corner of Mount Glorious and Hulcombe roads, Highvale, just before 10pm.

Queensland Fire Department had several crews on scene and were working to free the man.

As of 10.30pm, QFD were using cutting equipment to gain access to the man.

Paramedics had yet to assess the young man as of 10.20pm, but a spokesperson said from early reports he had collided with the tree at “high impact”.
