A young boy was lucky to escape serious injuries when he fell 7m while zip lining on the Sunshine Coast on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at Treetop Challenge in Woombye about 3pm.
The Courier-Mail understands that the nine-year-old had been visiting the park with family when he fell, sustaining back injuries.
“The patient was located approximately 50m down a track, the staff were excellent in guiding us to where he was,” Queensland Ambulance’s Lorenz Kleinberg said.
“He was awake and has been throughout the whole incident.”
Police and Health and Safety investigators were expected to remain at the site well into Sunday evening.
The boy has been taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
