A man has been charged and one dog and six puppies have been surrendered after a group of people allegedly attempted to steal a dog while armed from a Brisbane home.

A man has been charged and one dog and six puppies have been surrendered after a group allegedly attempted to steal a dog while armed from a Brisbane home on Friday.
About 12.20pm police were called to an Inala property to reports two women and a man were attempting to steal a dog.
It comes after the RSPCA received reports earlier on Friday about a man allegedly abusing animals at the same address.
Police attended and charged a 25-year-old Acacia Ridge man who attended the property with possessing a knife in a public place.
One dog and six puppies were surrendered to the RSPCA due to health concerns.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said investigations into the circumstances behind the attempted armed robbery are ongoing and the man has been issued a notice to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court on January 31.
