A Moreton Bay shed has been destroyed by a ferocious fire, with flames measuring up to 12 metres in height this evening.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) responded to a Triple-0 call at 5:28pm and arrived on scene at Grice St, Clontarf at 5:32pm.

A QFES spokeswoman said the shed was well involved upon arrival.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus fought the fire since 5.45pm with four trucks on scene.

It is now under control and firefighters are now preparing to enter the shed to extinguish the rest of the fire internally.

Paramedics transported a 47-year-old man to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He sustained burns to both of his hands but is now in stable condition.
