Darling Downs teenager pleads guilty in Childrens Court of Queensland to multiple sexual offences

A Darling Downs teenager subjected a girl to appalling acts of sexual abuse after pretending to be armed with a weapon, a court has been told.

A Darling Downs teenager has been remanded in custody for months after he raped a girl while pretending to be armed with a weapon.

The 15-year-old boy pleaded guilty to five sex crimes relating to the one incident in late 2023.

When the teenager entered his guilty pleas before the Childrens Court of Queensland in Toowoomba on Monday, September 30, a handful of family members, including his father, sat in the public gallery in support.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of rape, and one count of sexual assault and attempted rape.

Limited details were revealed in court during the brief indictment presentation.
However, the court was told the teenager forced his penis into the girl’s mouth before and after he attempted to rape her.

Before the assaults occurred, the court was told the teenager had told the girl he was armed with a weapon.

The age of the survivor was not heard in court.

The teenager was again remanded in custody after entering his guilty pleas, and his case was adjourned to be finalised on December 12.
