Crime scene established at Clagiraba home after fire

Police are investigating a fire which engulfed a home in the early hours of the morning on the Gold Coast.

Police are investigating a fire which engulfed a home in the early hours of the morning on the Gold Coast.

Fire crews and police were called to a property on Clagiraba Rd in Clagiraba about 4.25am on Wednesday after reports a house was engulfed in flames.

A Gold Coast police spokeswoman said the house was vacant at the time and no one was injured in the blaze.

A photo from the scene showed large flames at the property which was surrounded by trees.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the blaze are ongoing.
