TWO creditors are taking a Toowoomba home builder to court to begin wind-up proceedings to recover more than $16,000 they say are owed to them.

Tox Free Australia, trading as Wanless Enviro Services, instigated the court action against Michael Pollard Homes to seek $2582.80 for unpaid portaloo and skip bin hire between February and May this year.

In documents filed to the Queensland Supreme Court registry, the company alleges 11 invoices were issued and remain outstanding.

A second company, OneSteel Reinforcing, joined the action last week to recover money for goods it had supplied, less any payments made or credit passes, totalling $13,488.30.

The company delivered the goods between February 21 and March 19 this year.

The documents list Mr Pollard, 37, with a principal place of business at 9 John Ct, Cotswold Hills.

A Pure Gold Building Group website's "about us" section suggests Mr Pollard is now involved in a new venture.

"The creation of the Pure Gold Building Group has allowed Michael to take Michael Pollard Homes to the next level," it reads.

The company has a display home in Sweeney St, Toowoomba.

In the originating application, which will be heard in Brisbane on Monday, Tox Free sought to have Mr Pollard's company wound up under the Corporations Act 2001.

Both applicants say there is no genuine dispute about the existence or amount of the debt.

The application is listed on the Australian Securities and Investment Commission insolvency notices website.
