It’s a touching tale that has delighted children for years and now the show is set to return to the Empire Theatre this month.

Based on the book by E.B. White, Charlotte’s Web is a story that follows Wilbur the pig and friends Charlotte the spider, Fern, Templeton the rat, Sheep, Goose and Gander.

Bringing the classic to the local theatre are director Alison Vallette and producer Ruth Atkinson who brought The Wind in the Willows to the stage earlier this year.

Starring actors Harrison Paroz, Courtney Wagner, Jacob Watton, Mike Escobar, Angela Ponting and Meg Hamilton, all have connections to Toowoomba.

Since 2019 the touring production has travelled more than 2500km to regional communities in Queensland from Dulacca to Esk.

The show will also head to Northern and Central Western Queensland and offer music, dance and acting workshops for local school children.

Charlotte’s Web by RAVA Productions will be at the Empire Theatre on June 23 and 24.

It is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
