Southern Districts Croc Eli Hayward (4/9) headlines this week’s top DDCC performers

A bye weekend meant a shortened round across most grades, but there was no shortage of standout performances — none bigger than Southern Districts’ under-15 ace Eli Hayward.

It was a shortened round of competition due to the majority of grades having a bye weekend.

Nevertheless, there were still some top individual performances from a handful of players, none more so than Southern Districts’ premier under-15 bowler Eli Hayward.

The young Croc snagged stellar figures of 4/9 from four overs, as well as a hat-trick.

Doing it the hard way, Hayward took the milestone across two overs against Tracy Village.

Hayward secured the first wicket of Tracy’s number five off a catch with the final ball of his first over before clean bowling Tracy’s number six and seven with the ensuing two balls of his second.

The junior quick has now taken 38 poles across all grades in season 2025 at a mind boggling 8.24 average.

Here’s who made this round’s top performers list.
