Three people have been charged after allegedly carrying weapons to intimidate others, restraining individuals, making threats of harm, and forcing them to dig a hole.

Body-worn camera footage was released by authorities which captured the dramatic moments police raided a caravan in Far North Queensland.

The three people arrested are suspected of assaulting five others on a rural property at Mission River on January 23.

Officers alleged at 1pm on January 23, a group of five people arrived at a property located on Peninsula Developmental Road, for work.

It is then alleged, three unknown people approached the group and threatened them with weapons, forcing them to dig a hole before allowing them to leave the area.

Officers from across the Weipa Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), Weipa and Aurukun General Duties, charged the three suspects with a total of 53 offences.

Among those was a 35-year-old Weipa man was charged with five counts each of going armed to cause fear, deprivation of liberty and threats, and one count each of serious assault of a person over 60 and unlawful entry of a vehicle for committing indictable offence (while armed and in company).

A 27-year-old Rocky Point woman was charged with five counts each of going armed to cause fear, deprivation of liberty and threats, and one count of wilful damage.

A 64-year-old Mission River man was charged with five counts each of going armed to cause fear, deprivation of liberty and threats, and one count each of serious assault person over 60, possessing dangerous drug, possession of utensil, fail to take reasonable care and precaution in respect of syringe needle, failure to appear in accordance with bail undertaking.

All three were refused bail and are expected to appear in the Weipa Magistrates Court yesterday, January 30.
