Teens charged with armed robbery
Two teenage girls have been arrested and charged for the alleged armed robbery of a 55-year-old woman in Manunda.

Two teenage girls have been arrested and charged for the alleged armed robbery of a 55-year-old woman in Manunda on Monday night.
Police allege the two 15-year-olds approached the woman on Hoare Street at around 11.30pm where they then allegedly threatened the woman at knifepoint.
The girls fled with the woman’s handbag but were later apprehended by police in Manoora.
The 55-year-old received minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
Both girls were charged with robbery while armed and in company.
One of the teens was denied bail and is due to appear in Cairns Childrens Court September 19.
The other will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
