Stolen car found upside down in front yard

A stolen car crashed and flipped onto its roof in the front yard of a property in the early hours of Wednesday morning, before three people fled the scene.

A stolen car crashed and flipped onto its roof in the front yard of a property in the early hours of Wednesday morning before three people fled the scene.

Residents in Mooroobool said they were woken about 3am on November 6 to the sound of a car crashing into a property, with a number of people seen running away.

Authorities confirmed a Kia Sorrento was travelling along Craig Street before it “left the road and rolled”.

Queensland Police Service said three people fled the scene before authorities arrived.

“About 3am a Kia Sorrento travelling along Craig St left the road and rolled,” a QPS spokeswoman said.

“Three people fled the scene before police arrived.”

Police have confirmed an investigation is under way after the early morning crash.
