A patient will be flown to Cairns Hospital after they were trapped following a single-vehicle crash down an embankment.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics assessed three stable patients.
A fourth patient was trapped for some time but when released was transported by rescue helicopter to Cairns Hospital.
The spokesman said the patient was in a serious but stable condition with chest and back injuries.
Emergency services responded to two separate crashes on Far North roads within the hour. Ambulance were called to the first crash at Lakeland about 12pm.
The second crash paramedics attended to was a single-vehicle motorbike crash on Captain Cook Highway at Kewarra Beach about 12.35pm.
The spokesman said a man in his 70s was taken to Cairns Hospital with leg injuries.
