A man is accused of lighting a business that he also vandalised on fire.
The 31-year-old man was arrested after a warrant was executed at an Allinga Close address in Bentley Park on Tuesday afternoon, April 8.
Authorities allege the man was responsible for spray painting the front of a business on Aumuller Street in Portsmith on two separate occasions, February 13 and 16.
It is further alleged the man broke through the glass front of the same business on March 23, poured an accelerant through the hole before setting the building on fire.
Further investigations revealed the 31-year-old is allegedly stole motorbike in connection with the alleged arson.
The man has been charged with two counts of wilful damage by graffiti, one count of endangering property by fire, stalking, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The suspect has been refused bail and is set to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 9.
