Missing Kuranda boy found by police with assistance from SES

A missing Kuranda teen have been located by police after searching with SES volunteers when the teen was last seen entering a large area of nearby bushland.

UPDATE: Police have located the 13-year-old missing Kuranda boy at 1:47pm on Tuesday afternoon, thanking media, public and SES volunteers for their assitance. Police has said in a statement that the boy has been found safe and well.

EARLIER: Police are appealing to the public to help locate a Kuranda teen who has been missing since around 3.30pm on Monday afternoon.

The 13-year-old was last seen near Condoo and Thongon streets, heading into a large area of nearby bushland on foot.

He was last seen wearing a short sleeved black Dragon Ball Z t-shirt and black Everlast brand shorts with red converse while carrying a black converse bumbag.

SES volunteers have also been tasked with searching for the boy on foot, via ATV and with drones.

Police have urged anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward as they expect the search to continue into the night.
