A young boy has reportedly suffered serious arm injuries following a motorcycle incident in Aloomba on Tuesday afternoon.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed three crews were responding to a motorcycle crash involving a pre-teen male just before 5pm.

“We have three units on scene, responding to reports of a pre-teen male with serious arm injuries on both arms,” the spokeswoman said.

“He’s relatively stable at this time.”

The spokeswoman confirmed he would likely be transported to hospital.

It follows a busy day on Far North roads, with emergency services responding to two separate car incidents including a vehicle rollover in Goldsborough, south of Cairns.

“It looks like two male patients, both in their late teens were involved,” the spokeswoman said.

“One has reported a shoulder injury, but there’s no word on further injuries on the other patient.”

A fourth patient reported head injuries in a separate car incident in Walkamin on the Atherton Tablelands.

“It looks like a single vehicle rollover,” she said.

“The patient has self-extricated with possible head injuries and will likely be transported to hospital.”

Earlier, emergency services responded to three separate crashes on two major Far North highways, with traffic affected and at least one person injured.

A QAS spokeswoman confirmed a female in her 20s had sustained a foot injury following a four-vehicle crash on the Captain Cook Highway around 3.30pm on Tuesday afternoon.

“It sounds like a four-vehicle crash, nose to tail situation,” the spokeswoman said.

“Everyone is stable.”

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman confirmed crews were on site, making the scene safe following the crash at the corner of Aeroglen Dr and the highway.

“There were no entrapments and all vehicles are now off the road,” the spokeswoman said.

The Department of Transport confirmed traffic had been affected and urged motorists to drive with caution.

It follows reports of two separate car crashes on the Bruce Highway.

Emergency services have also responded to reports of a single vehicle rollover and a two-vehicle crash at Aloomba and Fishery Falls respectively.

A QAS spokeswoman confirmed crews were assessing an adult female and male child at Aloomba, however no significant injuries were reported.

A punter at the Fishery Falls Hotel said a van was rear ended at the corner of the Bruce Highway and McMahon Drive.

He said the crash looked relatively minor and traffic appeared to be getting through without too many problems.
