A man has been hospitalised with potential life-threatening injuries following an e-scooter crash on Thursday night.

Emergency services responded to reports of an e-scooter crash on Buchan Street in Bungalow at 7.08pm where a man suffered a potentially life-threatening head injury and was taken to Cairns hospital.

It follows a separate incident in Earlville earlier this week where a man rushed to hospital with a head injury following a collision between an e-scooter and car on Sunday night.

Queensland Ambulance Services confirmed a man in his 40s suffered a head injury and was rushed to Cairns hospital in a stable condition after a vehicle and e-scooter crash on Mulgrave Road, Woree at 8.17pm on Thursday.

It comes days after eight-year-old Zeke Hondow was killed in an e-bike collision on the Sunshine Coast, a 15-year-old Gold Coast boy died after crashing an electric dirt bike near a Broadbeach pedestrian crossing in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Queensland premier David Crisafulli rejected calls to rush e-mobility reforms before Christmas despite a total of 10 deaths in Queensland this year, and pressure is growing on the state government to fast-track its long-awaited crackdown on e-bikes.

The announcement came four months after 12-year-old Mareeba boy Edward Wheeler was killed in an e-scooter crash in Far North Queensland and a horrific crash in Yorkeys Knob in July that required an eight-year-old girl to undergo emergency facial reconstruction after high-speed smash with an e-scooter.

Also overnight, a woman in her 60s was transported stable to Mossman Multi Purpose Health Service after a reported snake bite to the foot at 7.32pm.
