Police have urged motorists to take care on Far North roads after emergency services responded to multiple road accidents, leaving at least four people hospitalised on the weekend.

Police have doubled down on road safety messaging after emergency services responded to multiple call-outs involving vehicles or e-scooters and at least four people were hospitalised on the weekend.
Emergency services responded to five call-outs on Saturday night, including two motorcycle crashes, an e-scooter accident and a two-vehicle crash with at least four people taken to hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed a man in his 20s had been taken to hospital following a motorcycle crash on the Captain Cook Highway on Saturday.
“One stable male patient in his 20s with a leg injury has been transported to Cairns Hospital following a motorcycle crash on the corner of Captain Cook Highway and Wangetti Beach Road at 6.35pm,” the spokeswoman said.
It follows a separate incident in the Tablelands where a stable patient was transported to Mossman Hospital following a motorcycle crash on Bow Street at 5.10pm on Saturday.
Crews also responded to an e-scooter incident in Edmonton at 6.24pm, where a man in his 20s was rushed to hospital in a stable condition with leg and head injuries.
In a separate incident, a stable patient was taken to Cairns Hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Sheridan Street, Cairns North at 10.23pm.
On Sunday, emergency services attended a vehicle and e-scooter crash on Mulgrave Road at 6.18am.
One patient was transported in stable condition to Cairns hospital.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson urged motorists to take care on the roads during the Easter holidays, while police increased roadside breath and drug testing across the state.
“Easter is one of our busiest times on Queensland roads, and crashes increase during this period,” the spokesperson said.
“We want everyone to enjoy the holidays and get home safely.
“Road safety is everyone’s responsibility. Every decision made on the road has the power to save or take a life.”
