Emergency services have been called to spate of incidents in the past 24-hours, including a ute into a hotel on the Tablelands, a car into the ocean in Cairns and multiple road crashes on Saturday morning.

Two separate crashes north of Cairns at Wangetti and Wonga Beach have caused early morning disruptions for weekend motorists.

At 6.57am emergency services were called to a crash on Mossman Daintree Road just north of the Marlin Dr turn off to Wonga Beach. One Queensland Fire Service vehicle was assigned to the incident involving a ute that had flipped onto its roof.

Queensland Ambulance Service stated a woman of unknown age was taken to Mossman Hospital with facial lacerations in a stable condition.

Later at 8.38am a single vehicle crash at Wangetti just north of Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures shut down both lanes of the Captain Cook Highway.

A Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics were initially called to the crash but the job was cancelled after the patient declined transport to hospital.

Queensland Traffic has reported both north and south lanes are affected and delays are expected.
