TRIBUTES have poured in for the wife of a well-known councillor after her sudden death sent shockwaves throughout the community.
Cr Rob Pyne’s wife Jenny Pyne died early on Saturday morning after a fall.
The former Cairns state MP took to social media to express his sadness.
“It was unexpected and she did not suffer. It was her heart. She took a fall and in a couple of hours she was dead,” he said.
“Jenny always filled our hearts with love and pride.”
She married Cr Pyne when she was just 19-years-old, knowing she would have to care for him. Cr Pyne is a quadriplegic after he suffered a spinal cord injury in 1991 during a diving accident when he was 23 years old.
