Police are working with the Department of Education after charging a Redlynch man with multiple child sex offences.
On November 10, Child Protection and Investigation Unit detectives executed a search warrant and seized electronic devices belonging to a 35-year-old man.
A spokeswoman from the Department said “allegations of this nature are dealt with as a matter of urgency”.
He was taken into custody and charged with three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and two counts of possessing child exploitation material.
He is scheduled to reappear at the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 19.
Police said they were working with the Department and investigations are ongoing.
